Our doctors’ responsibilities:


  • To be available 24 hrs a day – 7 days a week for our registered patients.
  • To visit a patient in a timely manner, this maybe after their surgery.
  • To maintain the standards of professional practice and accept professional accountability as set by the national medical regulatory body and the practice policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality, safeguarding & give patient-centered care.
  • Regularly review patients who are on repeat medications. This may vary in frequency for clinical reasons, but 12 months is the maximum time between face to face consultations.
  • The doctor is NOT able to prescribe Schedule 3 Controlled Drugs and above.
  • Always try to promote health and wellbeing lifestyle improvements.
  • To inform the patient's own NHS GP of the consultation, if the patient wishes or if patient safety is an issue.

Our patients’ responsibilities:


  • Please use 999 if your condition is life or limb threatening.
  • To remain registered, so as to be able to use our service immediately, when needed in the future.
  • To keep the practice informed of any health changes, including medication or allergies.
  • If seen by another medical specialist, to ask them to send a copy of the GP letter to our practice, to keep the patient’s private notes up to date.
  • If a patient is on repeat medications from our doctor then regular reviews are required.
  • To give consent for The Private GP Service to communicate between the service doctors, messaging service and certain third parties for investigations or management of the patient’s best care or wishes. This may be by phone, text, email, fax or post. 
  • To settle charges on their account in reasonable time.
  • If there are any issues, feedback or complaints about the service, to contact Dr Jobling or the GMC / CQC if more serious.
